The Grad Glow Up Contest Is Back

Graduation is a culmination of late-night study sessions, championship games, community service hours, early-morning practices, and all the quiet, unseen effort it takes to cross the finish line. At Visage, we believe that kind of dedication deserves to be celebrated and celebrated loudly. That’s exactly why we created the Grad Glow Up Contest, and we are thrilled to announce that it’s back for its second year.

About the Contest

The Grad Glow Up Contest is our love letter to Winnipeg’s graduating high school class. Last year’s inaugural contest was such a resounding success that we knew we couldn’t stop at one. So this year, we are doubling down. Instead of one winner, two deserving grads will take home the full Grad Glow Up experience.

Here’s what the winner receives:

  • $1000 scholarship to be put toward post-secondary education
  • Complete glow-up experience, including:
    • Haircut & style
    • Manicure & pedicure
    • Brows & lashes
    • Customized facial
    • Professional make-up
  • A luxury ride to safe grad for you and up to four of your friends.
  • Professional photography prior to safe grad.

How to Enter

Entering is simple, and we’ve intentionally opened the door wide. Grads can nominate themselves, but we also warmly invite teachers, coaches, mentors, and parents to nominate a grad they believe deserves this moment. Sometimes the people who’ve watched someone grow are the best at putting that growth into words.

To enter, submit a short video (under two minutes) explaining why the nominee deserves the Grad Glow Up.

To be eligible, nominees must:

  • Be a graduate of a Winnipeg high school (this contest is for high school grads only — not college or university graduates).
  • Be able to travel to one of our two Visage locations (Visage Clinical Beauty / City Looks by Visage) to receive their services
  • Be 18 years of age at the time of services, or have parental consent for services, photo release, and related contest activities if under 18.
  • Follow at least one Visage account on Instagram, so we can easily reach out when winners are announced and share their glow-up moments with our community.

This One’s for You, Winnipeg High school Grads

To every parent, teacher, coach, and mentor who knows a grad quietly
doing incredible things: nominate them.

Meet Last Year’s Winner: Celeste Onipe

If you’re wondering what kind of grad this contest is looking for, look no further than our very first winner Celeste Onipe.

Celeste graduated from Gordon Bell High School, where her classmates and teachers chose her as the grad breakfast speaker, an honor reserved for students who embody the spirit of their class. She left high school with multiple scholarships, including the prestigious Celia Caetano Gomes Scholarship, which recognizes students for their dedication to citizenship, community service, sports, and academics. In other words, Celeste isn’t just an achiever on paper. She’s someone who shows up.

And she’s still showing up. Celeste continues to be a major contributor to the Winnipeg community, volunteering her time at local food banks and with women-led initiatives supporting new migrants. Her work is quiet, consistent, and deeply rooted in care for the people around her.

When we say we’re looking for grads who are making Winnipeg better, Celeste is exactly the kind of young person we had in mind. She is proof that a “glow up” isn’t just about what’s on the outside. It’s about recognizing someone whose light has been there all along.
